Pupil Achievement Tracker::

PAT is a very powerful Statistical Analysis Package that views the achievemants of individual pupils, groups of pupils and whole schools aginst National and LEA (if available) data.

Will work down to question level if data are made available. Will test teaching strategies and guide teachers in their formulation. Target setting and benchmarking together with Value Added and progress charts enable interested parties to assess improvement within schools and to plot the way forward.

Used in conjunction with MIS with which PAT interacts to obtain data it will help provide a valuable insight into performance against norms. It does not seek to replace MIS packages already in use within schools. It is a solution developed by the DfES and ratified by both Ofsted and QCA for use within schools.

In detail:
  • Helped Nottingham City LEA prepare for their Ofsted inspection in Spring, 2004
  • Led team to collate data ready for dissemination to schools to load onto PAT - will be done by QCA in 2005
  • Was asked by Department of Education and Skills (DfES) to test software whilst it was being developed
  • Have deep understanding of how package works and happy to provide training from Presentation to hands-on Sessions with all personnel
  • Have presented to Notts County and Rotherham
  • Working for Derby LEA in schools and at headquarters.
  • Presented to School Improvement Officers, School Numeracy & Literacy Conferences
  • Trained Numeracy and Literacy Consultant Teams in use of PAT
  • Training at Richmond, Surrey in December.
  • Expecting contracts at any time from:
    Rotherham, Oldham, Hertfordshire, Nottinghamshire and Haringey LEAs
